On the Holland charts, superstar Nina Hagen’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Now signed to Nina Hagen’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “Nunsexmonkrock” leads Nina Hagen’s back-to-school campaign. There is so much to love about Nina Hagen, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Nunsexmonkrock.
Smack Jack had me crying as I was able to relate so well. I can’t stop playing Taitschi-Tarot. Dread Love - I just love it. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Born In Xixax - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. I now have Iki Maska as one of my personal favorites. Dr. Art - A strong beat. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Nunsexmonkrock. The first time I listened to UFO I was struck by its astounding sound. TV-Glotzer (White Punks On Dope) great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Superboy - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Voice of Nina Hagen in African Reggae is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Wir Leben Immer Noch (Lucky Number) to me is the best you can get from Nina Hagen.
