Paul Winter’s debut, ‘Road’, does not fit easily into one genre. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Paul Winter. On Road album, Paul Winter have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This is what good New Age should be.
Fantasy, Fugue, And Ghost Beads is just simply stunning. Um Abrace - To me, this is the best song on the Road. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. General Pudson’s Entrance is the marvelous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. In Come To Your Senses it becomes nowhere more obvious that Paul Winter has yet to define own style. Requiem make listening to Paul Winter like being in some sort of time warp. Africanus Brasileiras is a very catchy tune.
