Basket of Light is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Pentangle was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Pentangle and Basket of Light together. five years ago, Pentangle briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “once i had a sweetheart”. This is my first Pentangle Album and i must say i am blown away.
once i had a sweetheart is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. springtime promises is really the reason why I recommend buying Basket of Light. lyke-wake dirge - To me, this is the best song on the Basket of Light. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. hunting song (6:43) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. sally go round the roses is one of the coolest songs Pentangle has ever recorded. the cuckoo - another great track from the Basket of Light album. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot.
