While no new Phil Coulter album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1983 tour in North America. Phil Coulter had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Since Phil Coulter last CD (Classic Tranquility) on EMI Records back in 1983, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Mary From Dungloe is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Love Thee Dearest is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. The Old Man is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Carrickfergus - For me, this is the best of the album. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Vocals of Phil Coulter in Steal Away really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. What sets Mise G‰ire apart is Phil Coulter’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. This song may be the most meaningful. Some call The Spinning Wheel from Classic Tranquility as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Scorn Not His Simplicity is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Once you hear Boulavogue, you will listen to it over and over. Listening to Lake Of Shadows you can hear that Phil Coulter has still amazing chemistry with band members. Phil Coulter offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. The opening track The Town I Loved So Well is very much like you would expect from other albums.
