This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Popol Vuh. It has been seven years Popol Vuh’ last studio CD, “Coeur De Verre” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. seven years ago, Popol Vuh briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Blatter Aus Dem Buch Der Kuhnheit”. This is my first Popol Vuh Album and i must say i am blown away.
Blatter Aus Dem Buch Der Kuhnheit is Popol Vuh’s best work in years. Das Lied Von Den Hohen Bergen is really the reason why I recommend buying Coeur De Verre. Huter Der Schwelle is probably the highlight of the album. Der Ruf is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Coeur De Verre have ended. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Gemeinschaft - A classic Popol Vuh track.
