For older fans Sergei Rachmaninov, Piano Concertos (Ashkenazy and London Symphony Orchestra (Previn)) CD2 will put a massive smile accross your face. Lead single “Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, op.30 Allegro ma non tanto” and “Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, op.30 Intermezzo - Adagio” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. There is no doubt that Rachmaninov, Sergey has talent. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
You can find feelings on this piece of art. I can’t stop playing Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, op.30 Finale (Alla breve). Some of the arrangements found on Sergei Rachmaninov, Piano Concertos (Ashkenazy and London Symphony Orchestra (Previn)) CD2 are surprisingly edgy. Piano Concerto No. 4 in G minor, op.40 Largo is a strong cut, one of many. Piano Concerto No. 4 in G minor, op.40 Allegro vivace is perfect work of Rachmaninov, Sergey.
