Ralph Towner and Gary Burton sings Aurora in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is 1X6. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Matchbook, which shows, blatantly, how much Ralph Towner and Gary Burton has evolved as a singer. Voice and instruments in Song For A Friend complement each other. Brotherhood gets you up and jumping. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Drifting Petals is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen.
