For older fans Trios/Solos will put a massive smile accross your face. Trios/Solos isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Self-described as Jazz with lots of words, Ralph Towner With Glen Moore comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Trios/Solos is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Suite 3 X 12 (3) is the most memorable and amazing. I like to sing along with Suite 3 X 12 (2), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Lyrics of Re Person I Knew are precise and evocative. A Belt Of Asteroids is the song that really did it for me. 1 X 12 is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. After you’ve listened to Noctuary, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. No Ralph Towner With Glen Moore song has come close to capturing my attention as Brujo did. Suite 3 X 12 (1) is probably one of Ralph Towner With Glen Moore’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. This track is just a stunning masterpiece.
