Raul Seixas’s debut, ‘Gita’, does not fit easily into one genre. This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Raul Seixas has. Since Raul Seixas last CD (Gita) on SixSteps records back in 1974, I have felt a massive void in my life. I wish that “Gita” album was instrumental.
Medo Da Chuva - For me, this is the best of the album. As Aventuras De Raul Seix (3:47) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Agua Viva - My least favorite song on this album. The sound in Moleque Maravilhoso is really warm and Raul Seixas’s signature voice is still very much present. Sessao Das is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Opening track Sociedade Alternativa shows the best of Raul Seixas. O Trem Das make listening to Raul Seixas like being in some sort of time warp. S O S - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Raul Seixas. No Raul Seixas song has come close to capturing my attention as Preludio did. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Gita makes a person feel amazing.
