Self-described as Latin with lots of words, Raul Seixas comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. While no new Raul Seixas album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1979 tour in Europe. Por Quem Os Sinos Dobram isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Overall, I would highly recommend Por Quem Os Sinos Dobram CD.
Diamante De Mendigo is the albums biggest surprise. A Ilha Da Fantasia is almost impossible to review. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Por Quem Os Sinos Dobram. Por Quem Os Sinos Dobram presents the perfect mix of instruments on Por Quem Os Sinos Dobram. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. No Raul Seixas song has come close to capturing my attention as Da-Lhe Que Da did. Raul Seixas is one of artists that allow his songs like Movido A Alcool to stand on their own and be heard. Requien Para Uma Flor is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track.
