There is so much to love about Red Garland, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Red Alone carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Red Garland on ‘When Your Lover Has Gone’. Red Alone touched my soul like nothing else.
These Foolish Things is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. So much energy, so exciting a sound.You Are Too Beautiful - A nice song. In I Got It Bad (And That Ain’t Good) it becomes nowhere more obvious that Red Garland has yet to define own style. Nearness of You is probably the most interesting track on Red Alone. Nancy (With the Laughing Face) is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Music in When I Fall in Love is cool as in all tracks of Red Alone.
