On the Spain charts, superstar R.E.M.’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This is one of the best Cd’s R.E.M. has dropped to date. R.E.M. was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from R.E.M. and Reckoning together. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about R.E.M. ever.
I was truly moved when I heard 7 Chinese Bros.. So. Central Rain is the most memorable and perfect. Only one song from Reckoning named Pretty Persuasion really got me. All of songs on Reckoning and have something to say letting alone Time After Time (Annelise). I like to sing along with Second Guessing, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. The opening track Letter Never Sent is very much like you would expect from other albums. Listening to Camera you can hear that R.E.M. has still amazing chemistry with band members. Although (Don’t Go Back To) Rockville is very melodic it is far from sad. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Wind Out (With Friends) - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. R.E.M. is one of artists that allow his songs like Pretty Persuasion (Live In Studio) to stand on their own and be heard. A unique and uplifting song. Tighten Up - R.E.M. first major hit. Moon River great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.
