I am not a real Jazz: Funk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Garden of Love’ really is amazing. It’s natural for Rick James and Stone City Band to take a stab at ‘Big time’ considering her long-professed love for Godless Cruelty. This is one of the best Cd’s Rick James and Stone City Band has dropped to date. Garden of Love constantly brilliant.
This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Garden of Love. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Gettin’ it on (in the sunshine) on Garden of Love is solid and easy to listen to. Summer love is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. I think Mary-go-round is the best song Rick James and Stone City Band has ever done. When listening to Gettin’ it on (in the sunshine) reprise, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable.
