Rick James and Stone City Band’s debut, ‘The Boys Are Back’, does not fit easily into one genre. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Rick James and Stone City Band energies, virtually a rebirth. When you buy a Rick James and Stone City Band album, you know exactly what you’re getting! I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Rick James and Stone City Band ever.
I can’t stop humming along Feel good ’bout yourself. Keep love happy is astounding. Ganja as a highlight of The Boys Are Back contains a ton of marvelous melodies. I love the melodic melody of Freaky and to this day it makes me feel good. Funky reggae the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. This song stands out greatly from the others. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin.
