On Barbapapa album, Roberto Vecchioni have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Roberto Vecchioni. I am not a real Folk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Barbapapa’ really is amazing. If I may, I suggest “Barbabella, Bella, Bella”. That one song is amazing!
Barbapapa Rock has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Roberto Vecchioni’s strong vocals come to the fore. Music in Chi Ce L’ha Un’idea is amazing as in all tracks of Barbapapa. Com’e Divertente Aiutar Papa is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Ecco Arrivare I Barbapapa is a bit different from Roberto Vecchioni stereotypical stuff. In La Canzone Di Barbadura full palet of sound is used by Roberto Vecchioni to accentuate the presentation. La Canzone Di Barbalala is another favourite of mine. La Canzone Di Barbottina is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Lyrics of Rosso, Bianco, Verde, Blu are precise and evocative.
