Roosevelt Sykes had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Self-described as Blues with lots of words, Roosevelt Sykes comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It has been one years Roosevelt Sykes’ last studio CD, “The Return of Roosevelt Sykes” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. If I may, I suggest “Drivin’ Wheel”. That one song is amazing!
The song Long, Lonesome Night ending is my favorite… so catchy! This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Coming Home - A classic Roosevelt Sykes track. Stompin’ The Boogie is excellent song though, very addictive. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. I think Calcutta is the best song Roosevelt Sykes has ever done. Selfish Woman is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Roosevelt Sykes ever produced. Roosevelt Sykes must have run out of lyrics on the next track Hangover. The song feels complete. Music of Runnin’ The Boogie is gentle, never overbearing. Hey Big Momma rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo.
