Self-described as Easy Listening with lots of words, Ryuichi Sakamoto comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Ryuichi Sakamoto on ‘Thousand Knives’. I am not a real Easy Listening music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Thousand Knives’ really is amazing. Exciting stuff.
Island Of Woods is astounding. So much energy, so exciting a sound. The opening track Das Neue Japanische Elektron.. is very much like you would expect from other albums. Plastic Bamboo is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. The End Of Asia is a bit of a show-tune.
