Since Scott Mckenzie last CD (San Francisco) on Sparrow Records back in 1967, I have felt a massive void in my life. There is no doubt that Scott Mckenzie has talent. I am not a real Folk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘San Francisco’ really is amazing. This is one of Scott Mckenzie best albums
Rooms is a bit of a show-tune. Twelve-Thirty gives taste of what makes Scott Mckenzie special as a musician. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Don t Make Promises because the melody in the chorus is so good. No No No No No catches attention immediately, Like An Old Time Movie is a strong cut, one of many. Reason To Believe - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Scott Mckenzie. What s The Difference (Chapter II) is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. I love the melodic melody of It s Not Time Now and to this day it makes me feel good. Celeste - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Scott Mckenzie allows each song to breathe and flourish. It’s such an underrated song.
