four years ago, Shriekback briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “New Home”. Now signed to Shriekback’s Blue Note Records, the title track from second album “Jam Science” leads Shriekback’s back-to-school campaign. Since Shriekback last CD (Jam Science) on Blue Note Records back in 1984, I have felt a massive void in my life. If you love Shriekback as much as I do, then Shriekback Jam Science is the CD for you!
New Home is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. The sound of Achtung is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I like Partyline because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Listening to Midnight Maps you can hear that Shriekback has still amazing chemistry with band members. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Under The Lights is absolutely incredible. My Careful Hands - Check out that bassline! I can’t stop humming along Suck. Hubris one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard.
