This album has some very good songs like Scarborough Fair-Canticle and Patterns. On the Latvia charts, superstar Simon and Garfunkel’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. I am not a real Folk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme (Remastered)’ really is amazing. Smart music for smart people.
Patterns is one of the coolest songs Simon and Garfunkel has ever recorded. Cloudy is so unique, as each one of the songs is. From the moment you listen to Homeward Bound you’re hooked. The Big Bright Green Pleasure Machine is one of these floating songs. Voice and instruments in The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy) complement each other. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think The Dangling Conversation is my favorite song on Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme (Remastered). Flowers Never Bend With The Rainfall gives taste of what makes Simon and Garfunkel special as a musician. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is A Simple Desultory Philippic (Or How I Was Robert McNam…) because the melody in the chorus is so good. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. 7 O’Clock News-Silent Night is Simon and Garfunkel’s best work in years. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it.
