I am not a real Folk: Folk-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Concert In Central Park’ really is amazing. Simon and Garfunkel’s debut, ‘The Concert In Central Park’, does not fit easily into one genre. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Simon and Garfunkel on ‘Mrs. Robinson’. Simon and Garfunkel “The Concert In Central Park” is an amazing album.
Simon and Garfunkel has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. America - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Me and Julio Down By The Schoolyard - To me, this is the best song on the The Concert In Central Park. Scarborough Fair one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. After you’ve listened to April Come She Will, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Still Crazy After All These Years is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Simon and Garfunkel released so far. American Tune sets the tone for the entire album. Late In The Evening as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Charming song, great melody. Blew our minds when we first heard A Heart In New York. Kodachrome Mabelle is such a cool and optimistic song that things can get just better. Vocals of Simon and Garfunkel in Bridge Over Troubled Water really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. The sound in Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover is really warm and Simon and Garfunkel’s signature voice is still very much present. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Old Friends is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Concert In Central Park is The 59Th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy). The Sound Of Silence - another great track from the The Concert In Central Park album.
