This is the first studio album from Simon and Garfunkel since bad diagnosis in 1966. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Simon and Garfunkel on ‘The Sound Of Silence’. Since completing 1966’s ‘The Sound Of Silence’, Simon and Garfunkel fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. If you want to hear real Folk, get this record now!
Leaves That Are Green actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Simon and Garfunkel’s face. Blessed very upbeat. Kathy’s Song is so unique, as each one of the songs is. In Somewhere They Can’t Find Me full palet of sound is used by Simon and Garfunkel to accentuate the presentation. Anji is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. The song Richard Cory ending is my favorite… so catchy! Vocals of Simon and Garfunkel in A Most Peculiar Man really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. April Come She Will is beautiful, yet underrated track. We’ve Got A Groovy Thing Goin’ - I like this one. I was truly moved when I heard I Am A Rock. Blues Run The Game (Bonus Track) is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Barbriallen (Previously Unreleased) - A catchy, upbeat tune. If you are a Simon and Garfunkel fan, you will love Rose Of Aberdeen (Previously Unreleased). What sets Rovog Gambler (Previously Unreleased) apart is Simon and Garfunkel’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres.
