I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘King Biscuit Time’ really is amazing. ‘King Biscuit Time’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. There is no doubt that Sonny Boy Williamson II has talent. Exciting stuff.
Cool, Cool Blues still maintains something of a specific flourish. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Lyrics of Stop Crying are precise and evocative. Within the first few notes of Eyesight To The Blind it’s perfectly clear that Sonny Boy Williamson II is living this song. A great put together song. I have all of Sonny Boy Williamson II’s tracks and I Cross My Heart is probably the most his introspective effort. Overall a nice softer song. Nine Below Zero is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Mighty Long Time one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. She Brought Life Back to the D - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Some call Stop Now Baby from King Biscuit Time as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Mr. Downchild - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Sonny Boy’s Christmas Blues - This one is lively and fun. Pontiac Blues - a classic song. Too Close Together - Okay, I just talked about depth. I came to like Radio Program (KFFA). Charming song, great melody.
