Lead single “Sonny’s Slow Walk” and “Pontiac Blues” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. ‘Sonny Boy Williamson With The Animals’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This album has some very good songs like Sonny’s Slow Walk and Pontiac Blues. This is my first Sonny Boy Williamson Album and i must say i am blown away.
I believe Pontiac Blues is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written. My Babe one of the best in my collection. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. The song Baby Don’t You Worry ending is my favorite… so catchy! Night Time Is The Right Time - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Although Fattenin’ Frogs For Snakes is very melodic it is far from sad. After you’ve listened to Nobody But You, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.
