It Never Entered is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Early Autumn is probably the most interesting track on Cool Velvet and Voices. All of songs on Cool Velvet and Voices and have something to say letting alone When I Go, I Go All The Way. The opening track A New Town Is A Blue Town is very much like you would expect from other albums. ‘Round Midnight is a cool, simple song by Stan Getz at the top of his game. From the moment you listen to Born To Be Blue you’re hooked. This song may be the most meaningful. Music and lyrics of Good-bye creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Nature Boy is one of these floating songs. The sound in Once is really warm and Stan Getz’s signature voice is still very much present. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Nica’s Dream gets you up and jumping. (Little Rio) Un Poco Rio good vocals. Best song on the album, love it. In Zigeuner Song the music gets its power. Barbara’s Theme (aka I Want To Live) hits the heart. What sets Where Flamingos Fly apart is Stan Getz’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Midnight Samba motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. In Infinidad Stan Getz is at his best. Darling Joe has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Stan Getz’s strong vocals come to the fore.
