This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Stephane Grappelli. eight years ago, Stephane Grappelli briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Coltrane”. This disc has all of the essential Stephane Grappelli classics. To me Stephane Grappelli is the best band ever.
Coltrane good vocals. The sound in Danny Boy is really warm and Stephane Grappelli’s signature voice is still very much present. Dany - another great track from the I Hear Music album. I loved Dear Ben the first time I heard it. Flower For Kenny is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Stephane Grappelli released so far. Gary - a classic song. I hope to keep hearing Stephane Grappelli works for a long time to come. Let’s Fall In Love is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Smoke Gets In Your Eyes is a marvelous, simple song by Stephane Grappelli at the top of his game. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Tea For Two, which shows, blatantly, how much Stephane Grappelli has evolved as a singer.
