Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Stephen Stills on ‘Change Partners’. Stephen Stills’s debut, ‘Stephen Stills 2′, does not fit easily into one genre. I am not a real Rock: Folk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Stephen Stills 2′ really is amazing. Great Rock: Folk right here!
Nothin’ To Do But Today hits the heart. If you are a Stephen Stills fan, you will love Fishes and Scorpions. Sugar Babe makes a person feel perfect. I was truly moved when I heard Know You Got To Run. Open Secret is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. I have all of Stephen Stills’s tracks and Relaxing Town is probably the most his introspective effort. Singin’ Call stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Ecology Song - another great track from the Stephen Stills 2 album. Album opener Word Game is a bright, upbeat ditty. After you’ve listened to Marianne, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Bluebird Revisited is possibly the best song Stephen Stills has come up.
