Since Steve Reid last CD (Odyssey Of The Oblong Square) on SixSteps records back in 1975, I have felt a massive void in my life. It’s natural for Steve Reid to take a stab at ‘Odyssey of the Oblong Square, Part 1′ considering her long-professed love for Ultra Dolphins. Lead single “Odyssey of the Oblong Square, Part 1″ and “Odyssey of the Oblong Square, Part 2″ start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Overall, I would highly recommend Odyssey Of The Oblong Square CD.
There is exquisite mix of music in Odyssey of the Oblong Square, Part 2. When I listen to Odyssey of the Oblong Square, Part 3 in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Odyssey of the Oblong Square, Part 4 - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
