Stravinsky, Igor had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. ‘The Rake’s Progress CD1′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Since completing 1984’s ‘Act 1: Prelude’, Stravinsky, Igor fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is what good Classical should be.
Scene 1: The wood are green is a excellent sing-along. The old fool! - A catchy, upbeat tune. I wish I had money is the funkiest number on the album. I’ll call the coachman, sir is exquisite work of Stravinsky, Igor. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Come, Tom stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Stravinsky, Igor has astounded me with this amazing track. The song Scene 3: No word from Tom ending is my favorite… so catchy! This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. I wish I were happy - Master, are you alone? makes a person feel marvelous. Stravinsky, Igor sings his heart out in Scene 2: Introduction - How strange! Altough the heart for love dare everything. Anne! here! (2:18) - awsome. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is My love, am I to remain in here for ever? because the melody in the chorus is so good.
