When you buy a Talking Heads album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Self-described as Rock: Punk-Rock with lots of words, Talking Heads comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Speaking in Tongues carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Musically Making Flippy Floppy is superior to other tracks in Speaking in Tongues. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Slippery People is a very catchy tune. I Get Wild/Wild Gravity actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Talking Heads’s face. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Moon Rocks is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Pull Up The Roots - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Talking Heads. This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) is simple, dignified and effective, Talking Heads refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more.
