I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Wipe The Windows, Check The Oil, Dollar Gas’ really is amazing. There were many famous songs of The Allman Brothers Band available. Since completing 1976’s ‘Introduction By Bill Graham’, The Allman Brothers Band fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This album is awesome.
Wasted Words - a classic song. Southbound - To me, this is the best song on the Wipe The Windows, Check The Oil, Dollar Gas. Ramblin’ Man is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Within the first few notes of In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed it’s perfectly clear that The Allman Brothers Band is living this song. Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More is excellent song though, very addictive. The Allman Brothers Band sings his heart out in Come and Go Blues. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Don’t Want You No More - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. It’s Not MY Cross To Bear was the first single release from the album Wipe The Windows, Check The Oil, Dollar Gas. I hope to keep hearing The Allman Brothers Band works for a long time to come.
