After seeing Tiffany Queen, I had to have a good The Byrds cd. Jim Jones has compared writing for The Byrds’s new album to that on ‘Farther Along’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. For older fans Farther Along will put a massive smile accross your face. Tiffany Queen and Get Down Your Line is really good.
You have to get essence of the Get Down Your Line’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Overall a nice softer song. B.B. Class Road - A classic The Byrds track. Bugler is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. After few listenings I started to like America’s Great National Pastime more and more. This is one hell of a track. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. So Fine is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Lazy Waters. Bristol Steam Convention Blues (2:49) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Lost My Drivin’ Wheel, which shows, blatantly, how much The Byrds has evolved as a singer. Born To Rock ‘N’ Roll - another great track from the Farther Along album. Bag Full Of Money is excellent song though, very addictive.
