It has been fifteen years The Byrds’ last studio CD, “…in The Beginning” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. IF YOU LIKE ALL The Byrds’S SONG GO FOR IT! Lead single “Tomorrow Is A Long Ways Away” and “Boston” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Last Hot Album by The Byrds
Boston - A catchy, upbeat tune. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is The Only Girl I Adore. You Won’t Have To Cry is a good listen every once in a while. I Knew I’d Want You one is one of the better boring ones. The Airport Song is a fine track on any terms. The Reason Why is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything The Byrds released so far. Mr. Tambourine Man is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Please Let Me Love You is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. You Movin’ - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. It Won’t Be Wrong had me crying as I was able to relate so well. You Showed Me rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. The sound in She Has A Way is really warm and The Byrds’s signature voice is still very much present. For Me Again motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in …in The Beginning. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. In Tomorrow Is A Long Ways Away (Acoustic Version) the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation.
