This album has some very good songs like Mr. Tambourine Man and I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better. Mr. Tambourine Man isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It’s natural for The Byrds to take a stab at ‘Mr. Tambourine Man’ considering her long-professed love for KLF. Mr. Tambourine Man and I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better is really good.
I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better - I like this one. Spanish Harlem Incident is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Mr. Tambourine Man have ended. After few listenings I started to like You Won’t Have To Cry more and more. Here Without You - To me, this is the best song on the Mr. Tambourine Man. The Bells Of Rhymney - For me, this is the best of the album. The Byrds sings All I Really Want To Do in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. I loved I Knew I’d Want You the first time I heard it. Lyrics of It’s No Use are precise and evocative. Don’t Doubt Yourself, Babe is beautiful, yet underrated track. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Chimes Of Freedom. We’ll Meet Again sets the tone for the entire album. I’ve found myself listening to She Has A Way back to back and back many times. You have to get essence of the I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better (alternate Version)’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. It’s No Use (alternate Version) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. You Won’t Have To Cry (alternate Version) hits the heart. Only one song from Mr. Tambourine Man named All I Really Want To Do (single Version) really got me. I believe You and Me is one of the most astounding, heartfelt songs ever written.
