The Byrds’s debut, ‘The Byrds (Reunion Album)’, does not fit easily into one genre. Self-described as Country: Country-Rock with lots of words, The Byrds comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of The Byrds energies, virtually a rebirth. Great Country: Country-Rock right here!
This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Changing Heart is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after The Byrds (Reunion Album) have ended. I came to like For Free. Get The Byrds (Reunion Album) and turn on Born To Rock ‘n’ Roll if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Things Will Be Better actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on The Byrds’s face. Cowgirl In The Sand is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Long Live The King is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Borrowing Time is just simply stunning. Laughing is one of my favorite songs by The Byrds. See The Sky About To Rain is astounding.
