This is one of the best Cd’s The Cure has dropped to date. Self-described as Rock: Gothic with lots of words, The Cure comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. On Strange Days (Bootleg) album, The Cure have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. IT makes me wanna dance!
In Your House is the first taste of the new album. The Drowning Man - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Only one song from Strange Days (Bootleg) named Other Voices really got me. I now have The Funeral Party as one of my personal favorites. Forever (Version) very upbeat. Such hits like Happy Birthday will leave you hooked. The Cure is one of artists that allow his songs like All I Want To Do Is Kill Her to stand on their own and be heard. I Hate Rock And Roll had me crying as I was able to relate so well. The Cure breathes new life into the music in All Mine. The Cure has astounded me with this amazing track. The Cure must have run out of lyrics on the next track Play For Today. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Forever is the albums biggest surprise. All of songs on Strange Days (Bootleg) and have something to say letting alone Hello I Love You. The song Why Can’t I Be You ending is my favorite… so catchy! This is one hell of a track. Some of the arrangements found on Strange Days (Bootleg) are surprisingly edgy.
