Goin Out Of My Head isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. I am not a real Folk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Goin Out Of My Head’ really is amazing. thirteen years ago, The Lettermen briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Anyone Who Had A Heart”. Goin Out Of My Head is the best essence of The Lettermen.
Anyone Who Had A Heart is the albums biggest surprise. Nice and different song. Our Day Will Come is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I Wanna Be Free is almost impossible to review. The Lettermen sings his heart out in The End Of The World. The Look Of Love is one of my favorite songs by The Lettermen. Love Is Blue / Greensleeves is The Lettermen’s best work in years. Simple and heartfelt closing track Spooky closes Goin Out Of My Head on a high note. Excellent vocals and musical performances. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of The Lettermen.
