Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of The Manhattan Transfer on ‘Don’t Let Go’. Self-described as Jazz with lots of words, The Manhattan Transfer comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for The Manhattan Transfer’s new album to that on ‘Coming Out’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This album is a scorcher!
Zindy Lou is a cool sing-along. Chanson D’amour has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets The Manhattan Transfer’s strong vocals come to the fore. Helpless actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on The Manhattan Transfer’s face. Scotch and Soda is worth the money. The Speak Up Mambo (Cuentame) is astounding. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Such hits like S.O.S. will leave you hooked. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. All of songs on Coming Out and have something to say letting alone It Wouldn’t Have Made Any Difference. I think The Thought Of Loving You is the best song The Manhattan Transfer has ever done.
