It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra energies, virtually a rebirth. I am not a real Classical music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Journey Through The Classics’ really is amazing. This album has some very good songs like Also Sprach Zarathustra and Journey Through The Classics. Overall, I would highly recommend Journey Through The Classics CD.
Journey Through The Classics has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Hooked On Haydn stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Hooked On Romance (Opus 3) - This is a very lively song. Viva Vivaldi is a striking and quite long song. Dance Of The Furies is a song to enjoy for years to come. Scotland The Brave (Hookery Jig) is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. The sound of Journey Through The Classics is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Journey Through America as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Journey Through The Classics. The sound in Symphony Of The Seas is really warm and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s signature voice is still very much present. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion.
