On A Capella Ii album, The Singers Unlimited have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Lead single “Clair” and “Killing Me Softly With His Song” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. On the Estonia charts, superstar The Singers Unlimited’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. IT makes me wanna dance!
Killing Me Softly With His Song defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of The Singers Unlimited. A great put together song. Lost In The Stars makes a person feel perfect. The Singers Unlimited allows each song to breathe and flourish. Girl Talk is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Nature Boy, which shows, blatantly, how much The Singers Unlimited has evolved as a singer. I Don’t Know Where I Stand - For me, this is the best of the album. Musically Autumn In New York is superior to other tracks in A Capella Ii. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Indian Summer the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe.
