It has been eleven years The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed’ last studio CD, “The Velvet Underground Live With Lou Reed 1969″ which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. There is no doubt that The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed has talent. On The Velvet Underground Live With Lou Reed 1969 album, The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed ever.
This is probably my favorite song on the album. Heroin has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed’s strong vocals come to the fore. Some Kinda Love is one of my favorite songs by The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed. Over You - I just love it. In Sweet Bonnie Brownit’s Just Too Much you won’t find any flashy solos. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with White Light White Heat. I now have I Can’t Stand It as one of my personal favorites. I like the agression and power of I’ll Be Your Mirror.
