Self-described as Experimental with lots of words, The Velvet Underground comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Since The Velvet Underground last CD (The Velvet Underground and Nico) on ForeFront Records back in 1967, I have felt a massive void in my life. The Velvet Underground and Nico is an amazing album, racked with beauty.IT makes me wanna dance!
Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with I’m Waiting For The Man. First time I heard Femme Fatale was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.In Venus In Furs you won’t find any flashy solos. Run Run Run sets the tone for the entire album. No The Velvet Underground song has come close to capturing my attention as All Tomorrow’s Parties did. Heroin (7:13) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. I like the agression and power of There She Goes Again. I like I’ll Be Your Mirror because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. The Black Angel’s Death Song - A catchy, upbeat tune. I hope to keep hearing The Velvet Underground works for a long time to come.
