Since Thomas Zehetmair - violin. last CD (BWV 1006) on Mute Records back in 1983, I have felt a massive void in my life. There is so much to love about Thomas Zehetmair - violin., starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. BWV 1006 carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Loure - My least favorite song on this album. Gavotte en Rondeau is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Only one song from BWV 1006 named Menuet I . Menuet II really got me. Bourree sets the tone for the entire album. Gigue is the album’s biggest hit, I think.
