This sixteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Throbbing Gristle has. On the Italy charts, superstar Throbbing Gristle’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. There is so much to love about Throbbing Gristle, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Throbbing Gristle ever.
Hit By A Rock has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. I loved United the first time I heard it. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Album opener Dead on Arrival is a bright, upbeat ditty. Weeping is a song to enjoy for years to come. Hamburger Lady is a strong cut, one of many. Hometime hits the heart. AB/7A is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. The sound of E-Coli is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. After few listenings I started to like Walls of Sound more and more. Music of Blood on the Floor is gentle, never overbearing. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. We Hate You (Little Girls) has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Throbbing Gristle’s strong vocals come to the fore.
