thirteen years ago, Tim Story briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “The Moors”. I am not a real New Age music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Threads’ really is amazing. Ivan Grach has compared writing for Tim Story’s new album to that on ‘Threads’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Smart music for smart people.
From the moment you listen to The Moors you’re hooked. Burst - A catchy, upbeat tune. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Scene And Artifact. I loved Without Waves the first time I heard it. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Iso, which shows, blatantly, how much Tim Story has evolved as a singer. Reprise without a doubt is the standout song of Threads. By Rushlight (Still On Lesson No. 3) is another favourite of mine. Vocals of Tim Story in The Milubrid really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. The song feels complete.
