Tokyo Blade was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Tokyo Blade and Tokyo Blade together. Lead single “Powergame” and “Breack The Chains” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. On Tokyo Blade album, Tokyo Blade have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. If Heaven Is Hell is simply perfect. On Through The Night is beautiful, yet underrated track. Killer City is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Tokyo Blade. In Tonight it becomes nowhere more obvious that Tokyo Blade has yet to define own style. This song may be the most meaningful. Listening to Blue Ridge Mountain Of Virginia you can hear that Tokyo Blade has still amazing chemistry with band members. A great put together song. Highway Passion - A catchy, upbeat tune. Midnight Rendezvous is pretty funky and mellow. Mean Streak gives taste of what makes Tokyo Blade special as a musician. Death On Main Street has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Tokyo Blade’s strong vocals come to the fore.
