There were many famous songs of Tower Of Power available. Since Tower Of Power last CD (Back To Oakland) on ForeFront Records back in 1974, I have felt a massive void in my life. ‘Back To Oakland’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. To me Tower Of Power is the best band ever.
|titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Just When We Start Makin’ It is such a marvelous and optimistic song that things can get just better. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Squib Cakes is the more seemingly obscure song on Back To Oakland that bear up best to repeated listening. After you’ve listened to Time Will Tell, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. I like to sing along with Man From The Past, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Such hits like I Got The Chop will leave you hooked. Below Us, All The City Lights is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. …Oakland Stroke is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart.
