It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Tower Of Power energies, virtually a rebirth. It’s natural for Tower Of Power to take a stab at ‘You Got To Funkifize’ considering her long-professed love for U2. Tower Of Power was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Tower Of Power and Bump City together. I Love Bump City from start to finish!
This song may be the most meaningful. Flash In The Pan is astounding. Gone (In Memory Of Jacqueline Mesquite) - A nice song. You Strike My Main Nerve is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Tower Of Power released so far. Down To The Nightclub - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. You’re Still A Young Man is the albums biggest surprise. Overall a nice softer song. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it.
