On Urba album, Tri Yann have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. It’s natural for Tri Yann to take a stab at ‘Trihori ml’ considering her long-professed love for Godless Cruelty. This album has some very good songs like Trihori ml and Le vieux laudia. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Urba.
This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Francez - This is a very lively song. Kerfank 1870 - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. L’aimante a grand’messe can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Tri Yann is all about. Hanter dro macabre is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Branle de st cyr en retz is one of the coolest songs Tri Yann has ever recorded. Some of the arrangements found on Urba are surprisingly edgy. Les evins de Nantes is excellent song though, very addictive. I have all of Tri Yann’s tracks and Le soleil est noir is probably the most his introspective effort. Trihori ddent the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe.
