This is one of the best Cd’s Vangelis and The Forminx has dropped to date. It’s natural for Vangelis and The Forminx to take a stab at ‘I Said Yeah’ considering her long-professed love for KLF. Vangelis and The Forminx’s debut, ‘[1965-1968]’, does not fit easily into one genre. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Vangelis and The Forminx ever.
This is probably my favorite song on the album. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. In Greek Holyday you won’t find any flashy solos. A Hard Night’s Day is probably the highlight of the album. Il Pepperone is a striking and quite long song. In Jenka Beat the music gets its power. The opening track Jeronimo Yanka is very much like you would expect from other albums. Jingle Bells - A strong beat. Love Without Love is one of the best records ever. And Maybe More is absolutely incredible. Oldies But Goddies - Vangelis and The Forminx first major hit. Vangelis and The Forminx must have run out of lyrics on the next track Oldies But Goodies Instrumenta. One Day In Zappion as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. It’s a great pleasure to listen to A Precious White Rose from the beginning to the end. I like Say You Love Me because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Music of Our Las September is gentle, never overbearing. Mandjourano’s Shake had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Somebody Sent Me Love is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Vangelis and The Forminx ever produced. The Sound Of Music is simple, dignified and effective, Vangelis and The Forminx refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. This track is clearly meant to showcase Vangelis and The Forminx’s vocal abilities. White Christmas is simply perfect. The Yepee Ya Ya Song is the funkiest number on the album.
